Funding and Resource Roadshow Goes on the Road

The Department of the Environment is going on the road with its Funding and Resource Roadshow.

Presentations will begin this month and continue across the province over the coming weeks. Sessions are open to any community group, business, volunteer or government organization, industry or individual trying to organize a community project and needing funding support to get the job done.

The Environmental Funding and Resource Roadshow features presentations by the Nova Scotia Youth Conservation Corps, the Pollution Prevention Program, CAP Atlantic and EcoAction 2000, the Nova Scotia Power Waterworks Program and the Nova Scotia Salmon Association/Adopt-a-stream Program.

Participants are invited to share ideas, meet people, participate in group discussions, and learn about environmental funding programs and resources.

Upcoming sessions include:

Dayspring -- Monday, Nov. 30, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Municipality Activity and Recreation Complex

Lockeport -- Monday, Nov. 30, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Lockeport Recreation Centre
