Cease and Desist Order--Miner's Memorial Manor

The Nova Scotia Labour Relations Board has taken action to end an illegal work stoppage involving a number of employees of Miner's Memorial Manor in Sydney Mines.

A complaint was filed with the board today requesting that it issue a cease and desist order against certain members of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 968B.

The board has issued an interim order directing those members taking part in the illegal work stoppage to cease and desist and to return to work at their next regularly scheduled shift.
