Cease and Desist Order--Volvo Canada

The Nova Scotia Labour Relations Board has taken action to end an illegal work stoppage involving a number of employees of Volvo Canada Ltd. in Halifax.

A complaint was filed with the board today requesting that it issue a cease and desist order against certain members of the National Automobile, Aerospace, Transportation and General Workers Union of Canada (CAW-Canada), Local 720.

The board has issued an interim order directing those members taking part in the illegal work stoppage to cease and desist and to return to work at their next regularly scheduled shift.
