Tender Calls for Road Improvements
The Department of Transportation and Public Works has announced two tender calls for road improvement projects in Nova Scotia.
In Antigonish County, a tender has been called for asphalt concrete paving on the following six sections, totalling 1.02 kilometres:
- Pottery Lane from Townsend St. to end, 0.09 km
- Townsend Street from end of pavement to Pottery Lane, 0.06 km
- Trinity Lane from TK4 to end, 0.3 km
- Mount Cameron Road from town line to end, 0.04 km
- Gilfoy Road from Williams Point Road easterly, 0.35 km
- Gilfoy Road Extension, 0.18 km
In Cape Breton County, a tender has been called for an upgrading and signal project at the intersection of Keltic Drive and Westmount Road.
Both tenders close Oct. 15. The work on the project in Antigonish County is expected to be carried out by Nov. 15. The work on the Cape Breton County project is expected to be carried out by Nov. 30.
