Central Region 4-H Specialist Named

Agriculture and Marketing Minister Ed Lorraine today announced the appointment of Michael Kittilsen as regional 4-H specialist for Central Nova Scotia, effective immediately. The position covers Colchester, Cumberland and Halifax counties.

Originally from Brooklyn, Hants County, Mr. Kittilsen is a graduate of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College with a degree in agricultural economics. He has been acting 4-H specialist in the central region for the past year and a half.

Mr. Kittilsen's experience in the agricultural community includes playing a key role in the 1996 AgCot Discovery Centre at the Atlantic Winter Fair. He also has extensive 4-H experience as a member and in a direct leadership role presenting and organizing 4-H workshops.
