Tender Calls

The Department of Transportation and Public Works has announced six tender calls for road improvement projects across Nova Scotia.

COLCHESTER COUNTY

A tender has been called for cross culvert installation, with fish baffles, for Peppard Brook Culvert on Mill Lane Road in Great Village. The tender closes Sept. 21. The work is expected to be carried out by Oct. 15.

SHELBURNE COUNTY

A tender has been called for grading, gravelling, paving and concrete curb on Route 330, from the intersection with Route 3 southerly, 0.1 km. The tender closes Sept. 25. The work is expected to be carried out by Oct. 30.

HALIFAX COUNTY

A tender has been called for asphalt concrete paving on the following four sections:

  • Pine Brook Drive, 0.77 km; Meadowbrook Road., 0.13 km
  • Southwood Road, 0.03 km; Halfway Lake Drive, 1.0 km; Nottingham Drive, 0.52 km
  • Craigview Road, 0.74 km; Oakridge Drive, 0.79 km; Club Road, 0.47 km
  • Two Rivers Drive, 1.25 km; Brian Andrews Drive, 0.285 km; Terry Court, 0.52 km, Deerwood Drive, 0.365 km

Also in Halifax County, a tender has been called for concrete repair, asphalt cold planing, joint and asphalt replacement on the following three sections:

  • Victoria Road railway overpass between Highway 111 and Windmill Road
  • structure over Cobequid Road and Cobequid Road rail line, Highway 102
  • Lakeview Road Overpass, Highway 102, northbound lane

The tenders for Halifax County close Oct. 1. The work is expected to be carried out by Nov. 15.

HANTS COUNTY

A tender has been called for grading, gravelling, asphalt concrete paving, concrete curb and sidewalk construction on the following three sections:

  • Lacey Drive, Sunnyridge Subdivision, Milford from Trunk 2 to end, 0.62 km; Tower View Court, Logan Drive Subdivision, Lantz from Logan Drive northwesterly to cul-de-sac, 0.23 km
  • Route 214 road upgrading at Exit 8, Elmsdale from Sobey's entrance to elementary school; the work is to move sidewalk and add a lane on south side and add a new sidewalk to the north side of highway, 0.3 km
  • paving in East Hants Industrial Park: Industrial Way, 0.28 km; First Street, 0.11 km; Commerce Court, 0.10 km

The tender closes Oct. 8. The work is expected to be carried out by Oct. 31.

LUNENBURG COUNTY

A tender has been called for storm drainage on King Street, from Pleasant Street to South Street, 0.3 km. It closes on Oct. 8. The work is expected to be carried out by Nov. 15.
