Tenders Called for Halifax County

Transportation and Public Works (to Oct. 2007)

The Department of Transportation and Public Works has announced 2 tender calls for 7.5 km of road improvement projects in Halifax County.

A tender has been called for asphalt concrete paving on the following four sections:

  • Pine Brook Drive (.77 km) and Meadowbrook Road (.13 km).

  • Southwood Road (.03 km), Halfway Lake Drive (1 km) and Nottingham Drive (.520 km).

  • Craigview Road(.740 km), Oakridge Drive(.79 km) and Club Road, (.470 km).

  • Two Rivers Drive (1.25 km), Brian Andrews Drive (.285 km), Terry Court (.520 km), Deerwood Drive (.365 km) and Sandra Drive, (.245 km).

A tender has also been called for concrete repair, asphalt cold planing, joint and asphalt cold planing on the following two sections:

  • the bridge over Chebucto Road and

  • the bridge over Cobequid Road and Cobequid Road Railway, Highway 102.

The tenders for Halifax County close Sept.24, 1998. The work on all projects is expected to be carried out by Nov. 15, 1998.
