Halifax and Titanic Display Opens
The International Visitor Centre in Halifax has officially opened a new interactive display titled Halifax and Titanic.
The new display features:

Halifax's historical connection with the aftermath of the disaster, from the cable ships that recovered victims to burials held in three Halifax cemeteries

Nova Scotia's burgeoning film industry, focusing on Halifax's role in the making of the blockbuster hit Titanic, the involvement of Nova Scotia extras, tradespeople and artists

information on Morse code and its role in the Titanic disaster; visitors can listen to Titanic's final messages

A Titanic Voyage, a short film on the making of the movie that plays hourly in the International Visitor Centre Theatre; Rick Courtney, associate director on the movie Titanic and producer of A Titanic Voyage, shares his experience on the set of the movie
The International Visitor Centre, at 1595 Barrington St., Halifax, is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Admission is free.
