Cease and Desist Order -- Northwoodcare

The Nova Scotia Labour Relations Board announced it has taken action to end an illegal work stoppage that began today, Aug. 19, involving a number of employees of Northwoodcare Inc. of Halifax.

A complaint was filed with the board requesting that it issue a cease and desist order against certain members of the Canadian Auto Workers, Local 4606.

The board has issued an interim order directing those members taking part in the illegal work stoppage to cease and desist and to return to work at their next regularly scheduled shift.
