NEW PROJECTS

COLCHESTER COUNTY: MacKenzie Road

Motorists are advised that on Tuesday, Aug. 4, MacKenzie Road in Kemptown will be closed for the day for structural repairs. Traffic will be detoured on Tuesday only, from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Highway 103

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Aug. 4-5, girders will be erected over Highway 103 between Beechville and Timberlea, causing traffic delays. This work will take place from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. both days.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Route 349 (Ketch Harbour Road)

Traffic on Route 349 (Ketch Harbour Road) face delays from Village Road southerly for 4.5 kilometres while crews carry out paving work. These delays are expected daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. (Monday to Friday) until the work is completed, expected to be by Sept. 11.

HANTS COUNTY: Highway 102

Motorists are advised that beginning Monday, Aug. 3, traffic on Highway 102 southbound will be reduced to one lane between Exit 8 at Elmsdale and Exit 7 at Enfield. These delays are expected to last from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Sept. 25, when this project is scheduled to be completed.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Outlet Bridge

Motorists are advised that the Outlet Bridge on the Strathlorne-Scotsville Road in Inverness County will be closed to all traffic beginning Tuesday, Aug. 4. This bridge replacement project is expected to last until Aug. 21.

ONGOING WORK

ANNAPOLIS COUNTY: Phinney Mill Bridge

The Phinney Mill Bridge, between Old Mill Road and Route 201, Annapolis County, will be closed to all but local traffic for painting. The span will be closed daily from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Aug. 21.

ANTIGONISH COUNTY: Route 337

Motorists are advised that Route 337 in Antigonish County, from the intersection of Cribbons Point Road south for a distance of about three kilometres, is reduced to one lane. Delays are expected daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., until the end of August. Pulverization, gravelling and paving work is being carried out.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Highway 102

Highway 102 northbound at the Hilden overpass will be reduced to one lane for gravelling and replacement of the wearing surface of the overpass. Traffic delays are expected until Aug. 15.

COLCHESTER COUNTY: Stewiacke River Bridge

Traffic on the Stewiacke River Bridge on Route 2 will be reduced to one lane until the end of September. Temporary traffic signals are in place.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY: Highway 104

Motorists travelling on Highway 104 between Amherst and Salt Springs are reminded that westbound traffic is being diverted to eastbound lanes over this 10-kilometres section. The speed limit is reduced to 80 km/h. This rerouting of traffic will occur until the end of August, when paving work is expected to be completed.

DIGBY COUNTY: Highway 101

Traffic on Highway 101 from French Road to Bloomfield Cross Road is reduced to one lane for repaving. Traffic delays are expected daily between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. until project completion, scheduled for the end of August.

GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Larry's River Road

Motorists are advised to expect delays on Larry's River Road from Donahue Lake to Trunk 16 while crews carry out ditching, gravelling, pulverization and paving work. Delays are expected from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. until project completion, scheduled for Oct. 1. Motorists can use Route 316 to Route 16 as a detour.

HALIFAX COUNTY: Highway 118

The northbound lanes of Highway 118 are reduced to one lane in various sections, between the on-ramp at Highway 107 and the Exit 5 off-ramp at Miller Lake. Traffic delays are expected daily from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., until project completion, scheduled for the first week of August.

HANTS COUNTY: Burntcoat Road

Burntcoat Road, from the intersection of Route 354 and Route 215 at Noel northerly to Route 215 near Minasville is reduced to one lane in various sections for pulverization. Traffic delays are expected daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until project completion, scheduled for Aug. 31.

HANTS COUNTY: South Rawdon Road

Traffic will be reduced to one lane on a seven-kilometre stretch of the South Rawdon Road, from Trunk 14 toward Lakelands, daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. until the end of August. Delays are necessary for paving.

INVERNESS COUNTY: Indian Marsh Bridge

Traffic on the Indian Marsh Bridge, on Highway 105 at Whycocomagh, is reduced to one lane due to ongoing repairs. Traffic will be delayed and restricted to a width of 3.2 metres until the end of August.

LUNENBURG COUNTY: New Elm Road

Motorists are advised to expect delays on the New Elm Road from Route 210 to the Archibald Weagle Road in Lunenburg County. Traffic delays are expected daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Sept. 15. Local area office: 902-543-7376


PICTOU COUNTY: Stellarton/Trafalgar Road

The Stellarton/Trafalgar Road from the Stellarton town line to the Eureka Fire Hall in Pictou County is reduced to one lane. Traffic delays are expected daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., until project completion, scheduled for the end of August. These delays are necessary for ditching, culvert installation, planing and paving.

SHELBURNE COUNTY: Route 3

Motorists are advised to expect delays on Route 3 at Lower Woods Harbour as traffic is reduced to one lane. Delays are expected daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. until the end of October.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Route 223

Motorists are advised that Route 223 from Iona westerly toward the Little Narrows ferry in Victoria County is reduced to one lane. This repaving project is expected to delay traffic from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily until project completion Aug. 7.

VICTORIA COUNTY: Baddeck River Bridge

The Baddeck River Bridge at Nyanza has been reduced to one lane for maintenance, with a restricted width of 3.2 metres. Traffic will be delayed in this area until Aug. 29.
