Cape Breton, Pictou Counties Tenders
The Department of Transportation and Public Works has announced four paving projects for Cape Breton and Pictou counties.
In Cape Breton County, a repaving tender has been called for Tobin Road from Highway 105 easterly to the Sydney Mines town road; Point Aconi Road from the end of a 1997 paving project to the end of the pavement; and Seaview Drive from the North Sydney town line to the railway overpass. Total distance to be paved in this contract is about eight kilometres.
Also in Cape Breton County, a tender has been called for the repaving of Trunk 28 from the Ultramar service station at River Ryan to Emerald Street, and Old Lingan Road from the Sydney city line westerly. Total distance is about nine kilometres.
In Pictou County, two tenders have been called. The first is for gravelling and paving of Highway 104 from Pleasant Valley Road easterly nine kilometres, and Salem Road from the existing Highway 104 to the new Highway 104. Total distance is about 11 kilometres.
The second Pictou County tender calls for gravelling and paving of Highway 104 from West River Station Road westerly 12 kilometres.
All tenders close Aug. 6, with the exception of the tender for Trunk 28 and Old Lingan Road, which closes Aug. 5.
