New Projects

Cape Breton County: Catalone Gut Bridge

Motorists are advised that the Catalone Gut Bridge, on the Marconi Trail in Cape Breton County has been closed for about four weeks. The bridge was closed earlier this week. It is necessary to carry out repairs.


Richmond County: Trans Canada Highway 104

Traffic lanes could be temporarily closed on Trans Canada Highway 104 at Exit 46, near Louisdale, for about six kilometres westerly and easterly about 1.5 kilometres for a repaving and shouldering project. Hours of operation are 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. The work should be completed by Friday, July 17.

Hants County: Burntcoat Road

Traffic will be reduced to one lane on about eight kilometres of Burntcoat Road beginning Monday, July 13 because of a pulverization project. Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. It's not know how long the project will last.

Halifax County: Route 333 Traffic is reduced to one lane on Route 333, from Trunk 3 in Upper Tantallon southerly to Indian Point Road, for paving and shouldering. Traffic delays are expected from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. until project completion, scheduled for July 18.

Victoria County: Trans Canada Highway 105

Motorists are advised that Trans Canada Highway 105, from Humes River Bridge westerly, a distance of 3.5 km, is reduced to one lane. Traffic delays are expected daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. until project completion, scheduled for July 13.

Traffic on Route 223 in Victoria County is reduced to one lane in various locations, between the Little Narrows ferry and Iona. Delays are expected from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. until project completion, scheduled for July 13.

Antigonish County: Route 337 Motorists are advised that Route 337 in Antigonish County, from the intersection of Cribbons Point Road southerly, a distance of approximately 3 km, is reduced to one lane. Delays are expected daily from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. until project completion, scheduled for the end of August. This is necessary for pulverization, gravelling and paving.

Cape Breton County: Highway 125

Motorists are advised that Highway 125, from the Sydney Mines interchange south to the end of the divided highway at Balls Creek, Cape Breton County, is reduced to one lane in various sections. Traffic delays are expected daily from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. until project completion, scheduled for July 18.

Cape Breton County: Highway 125

Motorists are advised that a temporary detour has been arranged at the Pottle Lake section of Highway 125 as part of the twinning project. This project is scheduled for completion in late November.

Colchester County: Highway 102

Motorists are advised that Highway 102 northbound at the Hilden overpass will be reduced to one lane for replacement of the wearing surface of the overpass and gravelling. Traffic delays are expected until project completion, scheduled for August 15.

Colchester County: Stewiacke River Bridge

Motorists are advised that traffic on the Stewiacke River Bridge on Route 2 will be reduced to one lane until the end of September. Temporary traffic signals are in place.

Colchester County: Route 336

Work is continuing on Route 336 from Brookfield-Dean Road northerly to Route 289. It is reduced to one lane. This traffic delay will occur daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. until project completion, scheduled for the end of July.

Digby County: Highway 101

Traffic on Highway 101, from French Road to Bloomfield Cross Road in Digby County, will be reduced to one lane for ditching, culvert replacements and repaving. Traffic delays are expected daily between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. until project completion, scheduled for the end of August.

Halifax County: Highway 118

Motorists are advised that northbound lanes of Highway 118 are reduced to one lane in various sections, between the on-ramp at Highway 107 and the exit 5 off-ramp at Miller Lake. Traffic delays are expected daily from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., until project completion scheduled for the end of July.

Halifax County: Highway 103

Minimal delays are expected on Highway 103 from the Beechville interchange to Nine Mile River. Traffic delays are necessary for blasting. Motorists may use Trunk 3 through Beechville, Lakeside and Timberlea to Exit 4. This project is scheduled for completion July 31.

Halifax County: Trunk 7

Work is continuing on Trunk 7 from Salmon River Bridge to Upper Lakeville Road. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in several areas from 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. for ditching and pipe work. This project is expected to be completed by July 15.

Hants County: South Rawdon Road

Traffic will be delayed on a 7 km stretch of the South Rawdon Road, from Trunk 14 toward Lakelands, Hants County, daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. until the end of August. Delays are necessary for priming.

Inverness County: Indian Marsh Bridge

Traffic on the Indian Marsh Bridge, on Highway 105 at Whycocomagh, Inverness County, is reduced to one lane due to ongoing bridge repairs. Traffic will be delayed and restricted to a width of 3.2 metres until the end of August.

Lunenburg County: New Elm Road

Motorists are advised to expect delays on the New Elm Road, from Route 210 to the Archibald Weagle Road in Lunenburg County. Traffic delays are expected daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. until September 15.

Pictou County: Stellarton/Trafalgar Road

The Stellarton/Trafalgar Road from the Stellarton town line to the Eureka Fire Hall in Pictou County will be reduced to one lane. Traffic delays are expected daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. until project completion, scheduled for the end of August. These delays are necessary for ditching, culvert installation, planing and paving.

Victoria County: Route 223

Motorists are advised that Route 223, from Iona westerly towards the Little Narrows ferry in Victoria County, is reduced to one lane. This repaving project is expected to delay traffic from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily until project completion August 7.

Victoria County: West Side Baddeck

Traffic in West Side Baddeck, from Red Bridge to Forks Bridge, Victoria County, is reduced to one lane for pulverization, gravelling and repaving. Delays are expected daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until project completion, scheduled for July 22.

Victoria County: Baddeck River Bridge

The Baddeck River Bridge at Nyanza, Victoria County, has been reduced to one lane for maintenance, with a restricted width of 3.2 metres. Traffic will be delayed in this area until August 29.
