Spring Weight Restrictions Lifted

Transportation and Public Works (to Oct. 2007)

Due to favourable weather conditions in the eastern and northern districts of the province, the minister of Transportation and Public Works has revised spring weight restrictions as follows:

  • In the counties of Colchester, Cumberland, Pictou, Antigonish, Guysborough, Richmond, Inverness, Victoria and Cape Breton, spring weight restrictions were lifted at 12:01 a.m. Sunday, April 26, a week ahead of schedule.

  • All roads subject to spring weight restrictions in the counties of Yarmouth, Shelburne, Digby, Queens, Annapolis, Kings, Lunenburg, Halifax and Hants opened April 13.

The minister has the right to revise the zones, weight restrictions and the list of roads exempted, as conditions warrant.
