Revised Spring Weight Restrictions

Due to favourable weather conditions in the eastern and northern districts of the province, the Minister of Transportation and Public Works has determined that the spring weight restriction period will be revised as follows:

• In counties of Colchester, Cumberland, Pictou, Antigonish, Guysborough, Richmond, Inverness, Victoria and Cape Breton, the spring weight restrictions will be removed effective 12:01 a.m., Sunday, April 26, 1998, instead of 12:01 a.m., Sunday, May 3.

• All roads subject to spring weight restrictions in the counties of Yarmouth, Shelburne, Digby, Queens, Annapolis, Kings, Lunenburg, Halifax and Hants opened April 13, 1998.

The minister has the right to revise the zones, weight restrictions, and the list of roads exempted, as conditions warrant.
