Government, NSGEU Reach Tentative Agreement

The provincial government and the Nova Scotia Government Employees Union (NSGEU) last night reached a tentative agreement in contract talks for more than 5,000 unionized civil servants who work in provincial government departments across Nova Scotia.

Both parties are pleased that an agreement has been reached after a lengthy set of negotiations that began last October.

Details of the tentative agreement will be kept confidential until the union membership has had an opportunity to vote on the agreement.
