Western Region 4-H Specialist Appointed

Agriculture and Marketing Minister Ed Lorraine today announced the appointment of Teressa Campbell as 4-H specialist for the Western Region, effective immediately. The region includes Annapolis, Digby and Yarmouth counties.

Originally from Rawdon, Hants County, Ms. Campbell is a graduate of the Nova Scotia Agricultural College (NSAC) with a degree in environmental biology. She has worked for the Department of Agriculture and Marketing in the former plant industry and farm business management sections, and has been acting 4-H specialist for the Western Region for the past two years.

Ms. Campbell has extensive 4-H experience. She was a 4-H member in Hants County for 11 years. Her interest continued with her volunteer involvement as a member of the NSAC alumni 4-H club, as well as presenting skill development clinics and workshops to 4-H members in western Nova Scotia. She was also instrumental in developing the Environmental 4-H project and creating a new 4-H Junior Leader project.
