N.S. LIQUOR COMMISSION--Funds Collected for Ice Storm Recovery
The Nova Scotia Liquor Commission announced today it is collecting funds for the recovery efforts in eastern Ontario and Quebec following the devastating ice storm.
"Donation boxes will be placed at checkout counters in almost 100 liquor stores across Nova Scotia," said Yvonne Melanson, director of merchandising services. "By doing this, we can assist the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund in collecting money to support our fellow Canadians who are in great need at this time.
"Through the generosity of our customers and great employee support, historically the NSLC has been very successful in raising money for charitable organizations with its donation box program."
The commission asks the public to help raise funds for this critical humanitarian need.
